Game day is a big deal in my family, we are diehard Steelers fans (did you notice my dog’s name is Polamalu?!?). Eating out is not an option as we want to ensure we watch the game but I also want to sit and enjoy the game with my boys. Enter my culinary best friend; crock pots! It’s so easy; you can throw all of your ingredients into them in the morning, cook the dish all day and enjoy it at night, simple right? https://ooh.li/2e642f6
I love Mexican food – and luckily so does my family! It is a perfect family dinner for game day. Old El Paso has great products for whipping together a quick crock pot meal. Old El Paso is a popular brand so it is easy to find, affordable and tastes great!
Where do I do my last minute shopping for game day? Walmart simply is a one stop shop. Yesterday for instance I needed ingredients for my recipe of course but I also needed a baby bath tub and throw pillows for a new couch; I could get all 3 at Walmart – super easy and who has time to go to 2-3 different stores!?! Now that dinner is taken care of we can all enjoy the game together! I have a 2 year old and an infant next week but I know as they get older I am going to want to enjoy game day with them and it will be a fun family tradition. So I am preparing now how to get dinner on the table so I can enjoy my family time!
