Weekend activities for this upcoming weekend are going to be tough for northern VA moms. It’s supposed to get to almost 100 degrees both days – yuck!
If you decide to go to a pool that is a good idea to keep everyone cool for a little while. Check out my post on vacationing with little ones (it includes links to good baby pools or floaties if you still need them! Momsbf.com/vacation).
Another fresh idea is visiting the Air and Space Museum located in Chantilly. We took Landon there last weekend and even at 23 months he LOVED looking at the planes and space shuttles.
Here is the website: https://airandspace.si.edu/visit
- Open daily from 10 – 5:30
- Free admission ($15 parking)
- Including one right now on the moon (explore lunar landscapes ect)
- Tours available
- STEM webcast onsite for middle schoolers
- It is air conditioned!
- Ok that’s a joke but in this heat indoor activities are a plus!
The fun part was watching Landon be amazed by the huge airplanes (even after he left he would get excited when he saw pictures I took and yell ‘airplane!!’) and it was a fun learning experience for my husband and I as well! Do you know a lot about aircrafts used in WWII? I didn’t either!
Keep cool this weekend northern VA moms – whatever activities you decide to do!
Till next time,
